Creating Opportunities: reWerk and LinkedIn Furnish Digital NEST’s New Stockton Center

We are thrilled to share an exciting update on our latest collaboration! Thanks to our incredible partners at Rheaply, we were connected with LinkedIn, who generously donated high-quality furniture from their corporate offices. This fantastic contribution has been delivered to our community partners at Digital NEST for their new Stockton location.

At reWerk, we are always grateful for opportunities to push for a circular economy, ensuring that valuable resources are allocated to organizations that can put them to good use. By repurposing this furniture, we help prevent landfill waste and support the impactful work of organizations like Digital NEST.

About Digital NEST

Digital NEST creates sustainable and scalable technology learning centers for Latinx youth in order to foster economic equality. They achieve this by teaching technical and soft skills, providing mentors, and broadening networks to help youth gain sustainable employment. Digital NEST has sparked a nationwide dialogue among educators, policymakers, and the media as a model for closing the digital divide in under-resourced communities throughout the U.S. For years, their communities were excluded from the economic and technological advancements that other California communities experienced. But Digital NEST was determined to provide their youth with the best possible opportunities to develop their talents, knowledge, and interests.

That’s why they established Digital NEST, a vibrant hub for technology and empowerment that equips young people with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce. Through Digital NEST, they’re creating a network of connections and opportunities that uplifts the entire community. Their vision is a country where all youth are prepared for the career opportunities of tomorrow, no matter where they come from. Impressively, 90% of their students report that Digital NEST taught them valuable workplace skills like web development, project management, digital arts, and more.

The power of community

Our collaboration with Digital NEST is a testament to the power of community and partnership. We believe in creating more equitable opportunities for students and communities of color, and this donation is a step towards achieving that goal. Together, we can continue to build a win-win-win ecosystem where companies can donate excess high-quality tech and furniture, students and communities benefit from these resources, and the environment thrives from reduced waste.

Thank you to LinkedIn and Rheaply for making this possible, and to Digital NEST for their unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this furniture will have on the Stockton community and beyond. Let's keep working together to bridge the digital divide and create a brighter future for all.
